Life Skills for Stage 4/5

Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.

Options for Graphics: Drawing systems contexts
Architectural drawing context
  • Recognise different types of buildings and their uses

  • Identify codes or rules that a building must follow to be safe and accessible

  • Identify how building and construction can affect the environment

  • Identify sustainable features in buildings that use natural light, save water or use less energy

  • Identify features of architectural drawings

  • Explore Australian building styles from the past and today

  • Explore cultural influences of building designs, including shapes, colours or materials

  • Identify building practices or techniques used in Australia

  • Sketch or use a drawing technique to communicate an idea for a room layout or a building

  • Produce an architectural drawing of a floor plan, a room layout or a building view

Cabinet drawing context
