Implementation from 2024
The new English K–10 Syllabus (2022) is to be implemented from 2024 and replaces the English K–10 Syllabus (2012).
School sectors are responsible for implementing syllabuses and are best placed to provide schools with specific guidance and information on implementation given their understanding of their individual contexts.
Content
Stage 1
- EN1-HANDW-01
uses a legible, fluent and automatic handwriting style, and digital technology, including word-processing applications, when creating texts
Form all letters with consistent size and slope in NSW Foundation Style from memory
Position all letters correctly on the line with appropriate spacing between words
Use word-processing program functions, including text-editing applications
Recognise and use keys to show more complex punctuation or Loading
Type up to 5 familiar words per minute
Use taught software functions to Loading Loading in a range of Loading for different Loading , Loading and Loading
