K–10English K–10 Syllabus (2022)
The new English K–10 Syllabus (2022) is to be implemented from 2024 and replaces the English K–10 Syllabus (2012).
School sectors are responsible for implementing syllabuses and are best placed to provide schools with specific guidance and information on implementation given their understanding of their individual contexts.

understands and effectively uses Tier 1, taught Tier 2 and Tier 3 vocabulary to extend and elaborate ideas
Use taught morphemic knowledge to Loading word families
Understand and use words that have different meanings in different Loading
Understand and communicate jokes and riddles that play on words

Use vocabulary to express cause and effect
Understand and intentionally choose subject-specific vocabulary to enhance precision and for effect
