K–10English K–10 Syllabus (2022)
The new English K–10 Syllabus (2022) is to be implemented from 2024 and replaces the English K–10 Syllabus (2012).
School sectors are responsible for implementing syllabuses and are best placed to provide schools with specific guidance and information on implementation given their understanding of their individual contexts.

Stage 1
- EN1-REFLU-01
sustains reading unseen texts with automaticity and prosody and self-corrects errors
Apply Loading to read words with Loading
Read aloud with an easy speech rhythm
Self-correct when Loading and/or meaning is interrupted
Use Loading punctuation to enhance Loading in a conversational manner
Adjust phrasing, Loading , volume or rate to maintain fluency when reading aloud
Vary pace when reading according to the Loading and Loading
