  • Identify aspects of daily life and belief systems in the stories of the target language culture

Reflecting on language, culture and identity
  • Make connections between stories of the target language-speaking people, themselves and others

  • Notice the influence of the target language on English through vocabulary such as cognates, derivations and direct borrowings
