K–10Classical Languages K–10 Syllabus

The aim of Classical Languages K–10 is to empower students with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to access and appreciate a range of Classical texts.

Students:

• develop linguistic competence in the target language
• develop their understanding of how language is used to communicate meaning
• develop their understanding of the impact of Classical civilisations on the contemporary world
• reflect on their own and others’ languages, cultures and identity
• develop an interest in and enjoyment of language learning.
