Life Skills for Stage 4/5

Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.

Issues in sport
Technology in sport
  • Engage with personal technology when participating in physical activity or sport

  • Explore technology used in a range of physical activity or sporting contexts

  • Identify how technology has improved officiating, performance, participation or spectator engagement in sport

  • Outline how technology enhances the safety of athletes or officials

  • Explore how the use of technology may cause an unfair advantage in physical activity or sport

  • Explore the impacts of technological advancements in physical activity or sporting contexts

Media in sport
  • Discuss the range of media used in everyday contexts

  • Engage with a range of news reports relating to different sports

  • Identify how the media is used to communicate information about sports

  • Explore how the media can popularise a sport or athlete
