Life Skills for Stage 4/5

Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.

Leisure and recreation
Perceptions of leisure and recreation
  • Explore leisure and recreational activities that involve physical activity

  • Identify preferred active forms of leisure and recreation

  • Identify reasons for participating in active forms of leisure and recreation

  • Identify reasons people might experience challenges with participating in active forms of leisure and recreation

  • Identify the suitability of active forms of leisure and recreational activities for a diverse range of people

  • Identify perceptions of active forms of leisure and recreation in the local community or across different ethnic and cultural groups

  • Explore Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ leisure or recreational pursuits that draw on Cultural Practices and Knowledges of Country and Place
