- MAO-WM-01
develops understanding and fluency in mathematics through exploring and connecting mathematical concepts, choosing and applying mathematical techniques to solve problems, and communicating their thinking and reasoning coherently and clearly
- MST-12-S2-06
applies network flow concepts to solve problems and model decision-making in practical contexts
Define and use network flow terminology including source, sink, outflow, inflow and cut
Convert information presented in a table to a weighted and directed network diagram
Calculate and analyse the flow capacity of a network including the use of the saturated edges method
Solve small-scale network flow problems including the use of applying the maximum-flow minimum-cut theorem
Examine the impact of increasing or reducing the flow capacity of an edge in a network diagram
Explain why the flow capacity of a network is or is not sufficient to meet demand in a variety of contexts
