K–10Mathematics K–10 Syllabus (2022)
The new Mathematics K–10 Syllabus (2022) is to be implemented from 2024 and replaces the Mathematics K–10 Syllabus (2012).
School sectors are responsible for implementing syllabuses and are best placed to provide schools with specific guidance and information on implementation given their understanding of their individual contexts.

Stage 4

develops understanding and fluency in mathematics through exploring and connecting mathematical concepts, choosing and applying mathematical techniques to solve problems, and communicating their thinking and reasoning coherently and clearly

compares, orders and calculates with integers to solve problems
Recognise and describe the direction and Loading of Loading
Identify and represent integers on a Loading
Compare the relative value of integers using the less than (<) and greater than (>) symbols
Order integers
Add and subtract integers with and without the use of digital tools
Construct a directed Loading to model a situation
Examine different meanings (position or operation) for the and signs, depending on context
Represent multiples of negative integers as Loading
Multiply and divide positive and negative integers with and without the use of digital tools
Apply the 4 Loading to integers
Solve problems involving grouping symbols with integers
Apply the order of operations to evaluate Loading involving integers, with and without the use of digital tools
