K–10Mathematics K–10 Syllabus (2022)
The new Mathematics K–10 Syllabus (2022) is to be implemented from 2024 and replaces the Mathematics K–10 Syllabus (2012).
School sectors are responsible for implementing syllabuses and are best placed to provide schools with specific guidance and information on implementation given their understanding of their individual contexts.

Stage 3
- MAO-WM-01
develops understanding and fluency in mathematics through exploring and connecting mathematical concepts, choosing and applying mathematical techniques to solve problems, and communicating their thinking and reasoning coherently and clearly
- MA3-CHAN-01
conducts chance experiments and quantifies the probability
Use the term Loading to describe the numerical value that represents the likelihood of an Loading of a Loading experiment
Recognise that outcomes are described as equally likely when any one outcome has the same chance of occurring as any other outcome
Record all outcomes in chance experiments where each outcome is equally likely to occur
Represent probabilities of outcomes of chance experiments using Loading
Establish that the total of the probabilities of the outcomes of a chance experiment equals one
Discuss the imprecise meaning of commonly used chance words including possible, likely and unlikely
