Life Skills for Stage 4/5

Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.

Designing and making: Artworld concepts
Designer
  • Explore personal ideas or interests as inspiration for design artworks

  • Consider the function of design artworks

  • Make design artworks that represent a point of view or address audience needs

Design artworks
  • Represent ideas or respond to the needs of users in design artworks

  • Select and use materials, techniques or processes to make design artworks

  • Make a design artwork selecting and using design elements

World
  • Recognise the world as a source of inspiration, ideas or subject matter for design artworks

  • Make design artworks that reflect or respond to experiences of the world

  • Make design artworks inspired by interactions with the natural, built or virtual worlds

Audience
  • Identify audience needs when designing or making design artworks

  • Consider how audiences interact with design artworks through spatial, physical, virtual and immersive environments, exhibitions or multisensory displays

  • Make or display design artworks for an audience
