Life Skills for Stage 4/5

Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.

Aquatic ecology
Aquatic ecosystems
  • Identify the range of aquatic ecosystems

  • Explore personal interactions with local aquatic ecosystems

  • Recognise the importance of aquatic ecosystems to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples

  • Group types of aquatic ecosystems as freshwater, saltwater or intertidal

  • Identify biotic and abiotic features of aquatic ecosystems

  • Collect and record data about abiotic features of aquatic ecosystems

  • Identify organisms within aquatic ecosystems

  • Identify the adaptations of aquatic animals in the ecosystem
