  • Explore the relationship of biotic and abiotic elements in the ecosystem

  • Identify and record data on biotic and abiotic elements in the ecosystem

  • Collect and store data safely

  • Construct a food chain or food web for the aquatic ecosystem

  • Recognise the importance of diverse aquatic organisms in the ecosystem

  • Investigate possible threats to the ecosystem

  • Identify ways to protect the ecosystem for future generations

  • Engage in personal or collective action to protect a local aquatic ecosystem

  • Explore Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ Knowledges or Practices used to conserve the ecosystem
