School sectors are responsible for implementing syllabuses and are best placed to provide schools with specific guidance and information on implementation given their understanding of their individual contexts.

Stage 3

refines and applies movement skills, strategies and collaboration in physical activities
All bodies are diverse and move in different ways. Some students with physical disability may do this through adjustments, including assistive devices.
Complementary content for fundamental movement skills has been provided to enable some students with physical disability to develop movement skills focusing on ability. Teachers use the fundamental movement skills content in combination with complementary content to meet the needs of individual students.
Participate in and explain how regular and frequent physical activity enhances fitness and wellbeing
Understand and negotiate roles and responsibilities in physical activities
Collaborate to create physically active games, incorporating rules and scoring systems that are fair and inclusive
Refine and apply skills and strategies in target, net and court, striking and fielding, and territory games and sport
Transition between movement skills and select strategies to pass and receive a ball in games and sport
Transfer defensive and offensive strategies to different movement situations
Participate in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander games and activities and explain how the movement skills can be applied in other contexts
Participate in sports from around the world and research how the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games and international sporting events provide opportunities for unity
Investigate and engage in physical activities to increase enjoyment and motivation to be physically active in the community
Investigate physical activity opportunities in Australia that cater for the diverse ways in which people move
Transition between static and dynamic balances with control
Refine fundamental movement combinations with control and precision in games, sport and physical activities
Catch to maintain possession or gain advantage in games and sport
Throw underarm or overarm to maintain possession or gain advantage in games and sport
Kick a ball to maintain possession or gain advantage in games and sport
Strike to strategically propel an object at different levels towards a target or space using an implement in games and sport
Demonstrate posture that is personally challenging in a range of contexts
Combine movements with control and precision for various purposes, including games, sport or physical activity
Move the lower body to enhance mobility, posture and stability for various purposes, including games and sport
Receive and maintain possession of objects for various purposes, including games and sport
Move the upper body to reach, push and pull with control and precision
Propel an object at different levels towards a target or space in games and sport
