Life Skills

Life Skills for Stage 4/5

Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.

Creating texts
Creating spoken, written and multimodal texts in the target language
  • Participate in the creation of Loading  using known words or phrases

  • Loading  texts using Loading  and/or images

  • Create texts to convey information, experiences or opinions

Applying knowledge of language systems to create texts in the target language
  • Use sounds and expressions of the target language when creating Loading 

  • Identify vocabulary, grammatical structures and/or Loading  of the target language

  • Create texts using text features appropriate to the target language

  • Explore forming script, characters or Loading  in the target language

  • Follow a scaffold to create a text using the target language Loading 

Applying knowledge of the target language culture(s) to create texts
  • Use images, Loading  or symbols to create texts that demonstrate an understanding of Loading 

  • Create texts by selecting and/or using modelled language appropriate to cultural practices
