Life Skills for Stage 6

Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.

Digital citizenship and cyber safety
Digital and information literacy
  • Explore digital modes and methods used to communicate with others

  • Explore the accessibility of digital communication modes and methods for a range of users

  • Demonstrate an understanding of digital citizenship

  • Demonstrate skills required to be a digital citizen

  • Demonstrate appropriate communication skills in a range of online environments

  • Explore the social awareness skills needed in online interactions

  • Recognise ways to collaborate and share with others online

  • Demonstrate collaboration skills in digital or online environments

  • Demonstrate ways to secure information shared online, eg privacy settings in social media
