HSC exam provisions and appeals (Previously known as disability provisions and appeals)

NESA has made changes for disability provisions and appeals for students sitting HSC exams from 2026 and students eligible to lodge early applications for HSC exam provisions.

NESA has renamed the program to HSC exam provisions and appeals.

NESA has made changes to Rule 6.1.4 to:

  • indicate that schools may, but are not required to, include new evidence in school appeals (see paragraph 15)
  • note that NESA, where possible, will advise schools of appeals decisions within 21 calendar days (see paragraph 16).
