Life Skills for Stage 4/5

Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.

Multiplication and division
Identify the language used in multiplication and division

Apply strategies for multiplication
  • Model multiplication by recognising equal groups or Loading  of items to solve problems

  • Multiply 2 numbers

  • Estimate and check the product of 2 numbers

  • Use single-digit multiplication to solve problems

  • Select and apply appropriate strategies for multiplication to solve problems

Apply strategies for division
  • Model division by recognising equal groups to solve problems

  • Divide 2 numbers

  • Estimate the result when dividing 2 numbers
