School sectors are responsible for implementing syllabuses and are best placed to provide schools with specific guidance and information on implementation given their understanding of their individual contexts.

Life Skills
Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.
Historical context: During the era of colonisation, International Indigenous Peoples came into contact with European nations who were exploring the world. This had significant short-term and long-term impacts on the Indigenous Peoples. In Australia, Aboriginal Peoples’ experiences of colonisation involved dispossession, resistance, resilience and survival.
