Content
Year 11
- MAO-WM-01
develops understanding and fluency in mathematics through exploring and connecting mathematical concepts, choosing and applying mathematical techniques to solve problems, and communicating their thinking and reasoning coherently and clearly
- MST-11-06
solves problems involving time and location in practical contexts
Identify a location on the Earth's surface using latitude, longitude and position coordinates, with and without using digital tools
Convert between seconds (s), minutes (min) and hours (h)
Represent and convert between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats
Solve a variety of practical problems by calculating elapsed time
Solve problems involving time zones in Australia, making necessary allowances for daylight saving
Represent time difference between locations using Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)
Solve practical problems involving UTC
