Life Skills for Stage 4/5

Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.

Art critical and historical studies: Artworld concepts
Artist
  • Recognise that artists can create different types of artworks

  • Explore the work of artists or groups of artists

  • Identify the ways artists represent ideas in their artworks

  • Explore the work of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Artists

  • Explore artists from a range of cultures or contexts

Artwork
  • Explore the properties of artworks

  • Recognise how artworks communicate to audiences

  • Explore artworks from historical or contemporary art eras and/or art movements

  • Recognise that artworks by Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Artists are representations of Cultural identity and connections to Country and/or Place

World
  • Recognise ideas communicated in an artwork

  • Recognise that artworks can represent different times or places

  • Recognise the impact of technological advancements on artists, artworks or audiences

Audience
  • Recognise that audiences make judgements when engaging with an artwork

  • Identify that audiences can have varied responses to artworks
