School sectors are responsible for implementing syllabuses and are best placed to provide schools with specific guidance and information on implementation given their understanding of their individual contexts.

Life Skills

Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.
Explore the use of signs, symbols or codes
Recognise how to use forms of visual and/or multisensory language to communicate to audiences and apply this understanding to own art making
Make an artwork about the world that use signs, symbols or codes to communicate ideas
Identify a personal emotion, experience or memory for an artwork
Recognise how materials or techniques can create sensory or emotional responses from audiences and apply this understanding to own art making
Make an artwork about the world that represents personal, sensory or imagined experiences
Identify a cultural, community or social interest or experience for an artwork
Recognise art making choices that share social and cultural experiences with audiences and apply in own art making and apply this understanding to own art making
Make an artwork about the world that represents social or cultural interests or experiences
Identify a social interest or concern that is personally significant
Explore innovative forms or materials that allow audiences to interact with artworks in new ways and apply this understanding to own art making
Make an artwork about the world that questions or raises awareness about contemporary ideas
