The new Dance Life Skills 11–12 Syllabus (2025) is to be implemented from 2027 and will replace the Dance Life Skills Stage 6 Syllabus (2009).

Content
Life Skills
Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.
In Choreography, students respond to context and selected stimuli to create personalised movements that are structured and refined to communicate an intent. Students use the language of choreography and develop an understanding of the choreographer’s responsibilities in relation to culture, ethics, plagiarism, safe practices and respect. They use the body to generate personalised movements, explore the elements of dance in choreography and organise movements to communicate an idea or intent in a dance work.
