Life Skills for Stage 6

Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.

Appreciation: Dance work

In Appreciation: Loading , students engage with the Loading  to explore one or more selected dance works. Students use Loading , Loading , Loading , elements of dance, Loading , abstract symbolic movement, Loading , Loading  and Loading  to make informed judgements.

Context
  • Explore the ideas communicated in a dance work

  • Identify the Loading , Loading  and theme of a dance work

  • Explore the cultural, social or personal Loading  for a dance work

Components of appreciation
  • Respond to aspects of a dance work, including its auditory elements, dancers, elements of dance, or theatrical elements

  • Identify one or more of the elements of dance used in a dance work

  • Identify auditory elements of a dance work and how they have been used to communicate an idea

  • Communicate ideas in relation to the movement of the dancers in a dance work

  • Recognise the structure of a dance work and how it communicates an idea or intent

  • Identify theatrical elements and their purpose in a dance work

  • Express an opinion, preference or Loading  in response to a dance work
