Life Skills

Life Skills for Stage 4/5

Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.

Metal industry: Project development
Work health and safety and risk management
  • Identify risks and hazards when engaging in practical experiences in the classroom

  • Follow safety rules and signs when designing or making

  • Recognise the role of SafeWork NSW in maintaining a safe workplace

  • Identify safety regulations, standards and codes of practice when designing or making

  • Demonstrate safe work practices to ensure a safe work environment

  • Identify basic first aid steps to follow in the event of an accident

Project design
  • Identify the purpose of everyday products

  • Identify types of materials used to make everyday products
