Life Skills for Stage 4/5

Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.

Applications of technology
Understanding technology
  • Recognise ways that Loading  use technologies to create Loading 

  • Explore past, current and emerging technologies in design or production

  • Explore how Loading  or adaptive technologies support participation and inclusion

  • Recognise sustainable technologies that improve everyday living

  • Create an oral, visual, written or multimodal text to communicate how technology has influenced the way we live

Applying technology
  • Identify and use assistive or adaptive technologies to perform various tasks

  • Recognise personal preferences or strengths when using technology

  • Identify and select materials, tools and equipment to produce a design solution

  • Demonstrate the safe and responsible use of technologies, including digital technologies, when designing or producing

  • Participate in the safe use of tools and equipment when producing design solutions

  • Use technologies to resolve problems in design solutions

  • Use digital technologies to communicate ideas or solutions
