Investigating the ancient world

Teachers select at least ONE depth study option from the list below:

  • Law and justice in an ancient society
  • Significant individual in an ancient society
  • Social structures and cultural traditions of a group in the ancient world
  • Slavery and slave trades in an ancient society
  • Trade and cultural exchanges across the ancient world
  • Women in ancient societies
Depth study (option) – Aboriginal Peoples’ historical interactions

Content in Thinking and working historically outlines how historical concepts and skills are to be integrated with all other content in this focus area as part of the process of historical inquiry.
