Historical narratives: Thematic study

Investigating historical themes

Teachers select at least ONE depth study option from the list below:

  • Contributions of women in a historical context
  • Histories of a selected group across different eras
  • History of crime and punishment
  • History of scientific and medical innovations
  • History of spies and espionage
  • Popular culture in historical contexts
  • Propaganda and mass media across different eras
  • Revolutions that changed the world
Depth study (option) – Contributions of women in a historical context

Content in Thinking and working historically outlines how historical concepts and skills are to be integrated with all other content in this focus area as part of the process of historical inquiry.
