Historical narratives: Histories of women

Investigating histories of women

Teachers select at least ONE depth study option from the list below:

  • Historical experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women
  • Historical experiences of women and migration
  • Recovering women’s forgotten voices
  • Women and access to education across different eras
  • Women in a selected society
  • Women of influence in a historical context
  • Women’s roles in social movements and in advancing human rights
  • Women’s roles in revolutions
Depth study (option) – Women in a selected society

Content in Thinking and working historically outlines how historical concepts and skills are to be integrated with all other content in this focus area as part of the process of historical inquiry.
