Historical approaches: History and archaeology

Investigating history and archaeology

Teachers select at least ONE depth study option from the list below:

  • Archaeology and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories
  • Archaeological sites and remains
  • Maritime and underwater archaeology
  • Rock art and petroglyphs
  • Specialised field of archaeology
  • Technology and archaeology
Depth study (option) – Rock art and petroglyphs

Content in Thinking and working historically outlines how historical concepts and skills are to be integrated with all other content in this focus area as part of the process of historical inquiry.
