Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.

Safe, active and healthy lifestyle choices
Enhancing wellbeing through healthy lifestyles
  • Recognise the components of a balanced lifestyle

  • Identify the dimensions of health

  • Recognise the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle

  • Identify factors that influence healthy lifestyle choices

  • Recognise strategies to overcome barriers to a healthy and active lifestyle

  • Recognise how physical activity enhances health and wellbeing

  • Develop and use strategies to manage health and wellbeing

  • Explore a range of Cultural connections to mind, body and spirit for health and wellbeing, including bush foods for Aboriginal Peoples
