Life Skills
Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.
The Collaborative Investigation can be delivered as a small group or whole-class activity. Students may engage in one or more of the steps of the Collaborative Investigation:
Designing: Students identify an area of research and develop a research proposal. They follow a research process to plan and conduct research using appropriate research methods.
Documenting: During the investigation students can document their research process through a portfolio. The portfolio can be developed individually, in groups or as a class.
Presenting findings: Students can present their findings in relation to the research question in any form.
