The new Visual Arts 7–10 Syllabus (2024) is to be implemented from 2027 and will replace the Visual Arts 7–10 Syllabus (2003).
2025 and 2026 – Plan and prepare to teach the new syllabus
2027 – Start teaching the new syllabus
School sectors are responsible for implementing syllabuses and are best placed to provide schools with specific guidance and information on implementation given their understanding of their individual contexts. Schools may choose to implement the new syllabus during the planning and preparation phase.

uses aspects of Practice in artworks
Generate ideas, document and apply own Loading , choices and actions as Loading in the Visual Arts diary
Consider the relationship between concepts and Loading choices when making artworks
Investigate and use a range of materials, techniques and procedures to represent ideas about the world in artworks
Explore how intentions, choices and actions can represent ideas when using different Loading
Explore and use a range of 2D, 3D and/or 4D Loading , including drawing
Experiment with art forms and develop technical skills in art making
Use Loading skills to select and present artworks to Loading
Create written Loading to explain intentions, choices and actions in art making
Use subject-specific language to communicate Loading and Viewpoints that inform art making
Apply Loading for art making with respect to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Communities, practitioners and/or Knowledges, including Loading
Apply appropriate protocols and responsibilities for working safely and respectfully with others
Demonstrate safe, ethical and Loading Loading when making, sharing and discussing artworks
