Life Skills

Life Skills for Stage 6

Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.

The body and mind in motion
What are the systems of the body and how do they help us move?
  • Explore how their body systems react to physical activities and/or demands

  • Recognise bones, muscles or joints in the body

  • Identify bones, muscles or joints that help us move

  • Explore how bones, muscles or joints help us move

  • Explore how biomechanical principles relate to moving safely

  • Investigate the relationship between the skeletal system and muscular system in movement

  • Investigate the relationship between the respiratory and circulatory systems
