Aim
The study of Textiles Technology in Years 7–10 enables students to:
- become safe, skilful and responsible users of technology to design, produce and evaluate creative textile projects
- apply design knowledge and skills to enhance creativity and innovation in textile design ideas and solutions
- develop an understanding of the interrelationships between textile design, sustainability, technology, society and the environment
- apply knowledge and skills to produce quality textile projects through the practical application of materials, tools, techniques and technologies.
