The new Physical World Science Life Skills 11–12 Syllabus (2025) is to be implemented from 2027 and will replace the Physical World Science Life Skills Stage 6 Syllabus (2017).

- Start teaching the new syllabus for Year 11
- Continue to teach the Physical World Science Life Skills Stage 6 Syllabus (2017) for Year 12
2027, Term 4
- Start teaching the new syllabus for Year 12
Content
Life Skills
- PW-LS-09
identifies uses of electricity and magnets in everyday living
- PW-LS-10
identifies properties and behaviours of electricity
- PW-LS-11
demonstrates safe practices related to electricity and magnetism
Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.
Relevant Working scientifically outcomes and content should be integrated with each focus area based on the strengths and needs of individual students.
