- Start teaching new syllabus for Year 12
- Start implementing new Year 12 school-based assessment requirements

- First HSC examination for new syllabus
Content
Year 12
Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.
Experience nature as a source of wonder, for example inspirational landscapes, biodiversity hotspots, great wildlife migrations across air, land and sea
Recognise ways in which natural environments are valued
Recognise the physical elements of natural environments
Locate major terrestrial and marine environments on a map
Identify types of natural features and environments on the Earth's surface
Locate distinctive natural features of environments on a map
Identify spatial dimensions of a natural environment
Record information about natural features in an environment
Investigate the biophysical components of a local natural system
Describe a biophysical process
Explore factors that affect natural systems
Measure and record data related to components of a biophysical environment
Explore land cover change through at least one distinctive biophysical process
Identify land and water cover change in photographs or other visual representations
Collect and record evidence of evolving natural systems
