The new English Studies 11–12 Syllabus (2024) is to be implemented from 2026 and will replace the English Studies Stage 6 Syllabus (2017).

Content
Year 12
For students studying English Life Skills, the focus area The craft of writing provides opportunities to develop student composition skills. They compose everyday texts for authentic audiences and purposes. Students engage with everyday texts as models and stimuli for the development of their own ideas and creative expression. They recognise how Loading use Loading to describe the world around them. Through consideration of texts students can experiment with applying their knowledge of Loading in their own compositions.
