The craft of writing (aligned to English Standard)

For students studying English Life Skills, the focus area The craft of writing provides opportunities to develop student composition skills. They compose everyday texts for authentic audiences and purposes. Students engage with everyday texts as models and stimuli for the development of their own ideas and creative expression. They recognise how composers use language to describe the world around them. Through consideration of texts students can experiment with applying their knowledge of language forms and features in their own compositions.
