- Continue to teach the English Standard Stage 6 Syllabus (2017) for Year 12
2026, Term 4
- Start teaching new syllabus for Year 12
- Start implementing new Year 12 school-based assessment requirements
2027
- First HSC examination for new syllabus
Content
Life Skills
- EN-LS-01
communicates in a range of everyday contexts for familiar purposes and audiences
- EN-LS-02
uses strategies to communicate for different purposes in different contexts
Through collaborative curriculum planning, it may be decided that Life Skills outcomes and content are the most appropriate option for some students with intellectual disability.
Use preferred communication form(s) to communicate a message
Interact with a person, object or event in everyday situations
Respond to communication initiated by others
Initiate communication with a familiar person or audience
Recognise and use appropriate nonverbal cues and behaviours to communicate a message
Communicate needs, requests, choices and preferences with purpose and clarity
